PLAGIARISED SYLLABUS:Post Graduate Diplomas

DALC just loves to steal. Steal ideas, steal from students and steal other universities prospectus. If you know a DALC student who is studying for the  Post Graduate Diploma in Digital and Wireless Communication he may look at the syllabus and note that in the first paragraph it goes:

.......specialized knowledge and experience in digital signal processing techniques for wireless communications.  It emphasizes technical and management aspects of the network engineering process. A pragmatic approach to problem solving is the hallmark of a digital and Wireless communication engineering

If you google the same paragraph, you see it shows up here.  DALC actually plagirised it from George Mason University. Wow. Thats your prestigious CAMBRIDGE qualification.

As you might know DALC offers very deep impact and practical courses. Ofcourse it has no labs for courses that are practical and all one needs to pass is a case study. Take the example of the Post Graduate Diploma in Robotics Technology. Despite not having labs or a qualified tutor, you can study this course at DALC. The prospectus they give is convincing as they want the course will impart:

...a thorough grounding in the methodologies, technologies, mathematics and algorithms used in intelligent systems. This course will also expose candidates to some of the contemporary happenings in robotics, which includes current robot lab research, applications, robot contests and robots in the news.
Well thats impressive except that the DALC cons copied it from here.  The Carnegie Mellon University .

So is this all jealousy or an exposure of the lies at DALC?

  • they simply lack creativity and want to offer courses they cannot teach or may be not even have an idea of what they entail so they simply copy and paste from other websites.. how USELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • suppose the dalc was a mzungu's institution you guyz could have crowded like goats, but fact have it that it's a brain child of an african.this is enough to make you say nasty things not only about dalc but oborah as an individual.you people seem to be knowing much'what have you done to make a difference in kenya apart from complaining.instead of making the necessary steps to make dalc legal you're here complaining. i think it's high time you change your reproach.there's nothing you'll get from talking like that about prof. oborah, someone who believes in change and has acted.remember the isrealites in the wilderness?grambling was what they knew best.please let's change our way of seeing things.

  • @ anonymus above hahahahahahahahaha. What do the israelites have to do with dubbed syllabus?

  • Gosh!! DALC people make such frail arguments I laugh at their total lack of brainpower. I guess the writer who is talking about Israelites would like us to view Oborah as the BLACK MOSES leading people out of the education wilderness. The facts have been presented! They come and plead that the man is an african who should not be questioned. Is that your argument? Well, if DALC was a charity, there might be a point, but this is an institution where students spend upto 5 times more than they would with a KASNEB/KNEC course!! Don't forget that the DALC head of missions now drives in a 17 million range rover. Right, 17,000,000. I guess we know where all the money goes now. The only thing he is leading people to is lighter pockets, broken bank accounts and personal loans in return for unaccredited qualifications. How Ironic?

  • the DALC fellow above makes me wanna throw up!!!!Absolute crap. But then, it is a good display of the kind of defence DALC can put up.

  • @ mash, the DALC disciples seem to be long on talk and short on wit. The commenter was not decided on whether to play the race card (talks about mzungus), the patriotism card (Oborah is helping Kenya) or the religion card (remember israelites in the wilderness). So he sorta threw all of them together into one senseless mix and sat back. Convinced he had proven to the world that DALC is not bogus after all. What a daft attempt!
