DALC SCAM: ANOTHER KENYAN JOINS KISUMU CENTRE

Students have been without a tutor for close to one month now but worry not. Another (unfortunate) Kenyan will now hastily dispense knowledge at Kisumu’s DALC centre. As usual the students have been told that they will be compensated for all the hours they have spent out of class. One thing for sure is that the classes will not start on 17th, Oborah will come and give a talk and convince you to wait till the beginning of the month.

Title: KISUMU REPLACEMENT FOR RUTH
MUNGAO

A replacement for the above will arrive 17th August 2009.

Classes lost will be recovered by taking more days/hours as usual.

In the meatime, students should attend other lessons/modules and work on
their projects.

Thanks for your patience.

PROF. HUMPHREY
P.O. OBORAH
HEAD OF MISSIONS, DALC EDUCATION
EAST AND CENTRAL AFRICAN
REGION

In the meantime, we welcome the replacement into the world of DALC. We hope that he/she leaves when they realize that what is happening at DALC is a hoax (if they still did not know). Here are some pointers from DALC tutors who have walked that road before:

In a short while, you will realize that DALC is a hoax because:

• The students projects are sent to UK for remarking yet the students receive Cambridge transcripts with exactly the same marks as you (the lecturer) awarded after the “UK” remarking.

• Nobody fails at DALC, if you are too strict. They call Oborah on you and you get fired. He says, “do not fail people!”

• Plagiarism is the norm, so don’t bother. The syllabus you are going to use is plagiarized anyway and students are never penalized for “dubbing” projects. Ask Jay Bhanderi.

• If you are too tired to mark, just award the marks hurriedly and no one will ever find out. You think Oborah reads all that stuff?

• You can make an extra coin by writing projects for students. You might frown at this but it will help you get through the tough days as the salary comes on the 11th of the month. After all, you are gonna mark those projects anyway.

• You will read this blog and other sites that doubt DALC’s authenticity.

• You will be ordered to teach things you did not study. If you studied business, expect to teach Public Relations, Project Management, International relations etc. Furthermore, you will teach postgraduate diploma students even though your qualifications are insufficient to do so.

• You will realize that at DALC its all about the profit, nothing else. Not standards or quality. All these are pretensions that are well hidden from outsiders.

Have a fruitful stay at DALC and ask about your predecessors. Why did they leave?
