Others claim to offer international diplomas from leading institutions without identifying the institutions. They promise to teach technical courses such as computer engineering, software development and programming to students with average grades of D.

Currently various Government departments supervise colleges, a situation that has brought about disparity in standards. This scenerio allows crooks to exploit Kenyans out to acquire higher education.
Necessary legislation needs to be put in place and a body mandated to oversee matters of both accreditation and quality.
This is why the Government’s draft Bill that seeks to introduce the Technical, Industrial Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Authority (Tiveta) to oversee registration, accreditation, licensing and quality in the these instituations is long overdue.
Kenyans seeking higher education should also be more careful. CHE, for example, has a list on its website of universities and colleges accredicated to offer degree and diploma programmes

I attended DALC for a while in 2007, paid a bit of my money ( I still have receipts), then prepared some serious write-ups for my project management assignments and when I went to check the marking, I smelled something was wrong... I do have trascripts for 7 modules in diploma in Project management, and they say "pending 5 modules"... i never returned!! And when applying for my masters degree admission to a top UK university in 2010, someone advice "dont dare show that Sh*t of a certificate with CAM logo unless you want to be disqualified"... I didnt show it, and now I am applying for PhD at JKUAT, and I wouldnt dare say I went to DALC... I cant put my finger on what I smelled wrong, but there sure is something unusual with the way DALC handles its programmes...I know my former classmates in DALC (all working adults by the way) who dropped it too and moved on to move serious institutions.... would I recommend DALC to anyone? NO!! Would I accuse Dr. O of any misdeeds, I HAVE NO PROOF... :-(
